Terms of Service (ToS)

Because Thardferr is made up of many different people from many different backgrounds, we have created these policies and guidelines to be followed by our members. Also, since Thardferr is always looking for new advertisers and new ways to financially support this network, we must cohere to certain guidelines set forth by advertising companies and their affiliates.

Please remember, that this network can only be fun if the users work together to make it happen. Try to be positive, and listen to what others have to say instead of putting them down. Remember… only you can prevent forest fires!

Your Account

• You may only have one account on this site.
• You may not share your account or password with any other person. In addition, you may not trade or give your account to any other person. Your account is yours and yours alone.
• The personal information you submit to us must be complete an accurate. Please read our privacy policy for more information on how your information is used.
• Your nick and other publicly accessible information must cohere to our policies regarding content (see below).

In General

All content submitted to this network, is the sole responsibility of the user whom the content originated from, and not Thardferr.Com. While Thardferr.Com does attempt to moderate all content submitted by our users, we do not guarantee the accuracy, security, or acceptability of the material. You understand by using this service, you may be subjected to questionable or objectionable material that manage to get through our content moderation systems.

The following are general rules to be followed by all members on all systems. Users may not:

• Submit any content to this network that is threatening, abusive, tortuous, obscene, hateful, racist, against local, state, federal or international law, or otherwise objectionable.
• Impersonate any staff member, or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with this network.
• Otherwise manipulate identifiers or spoof credentials in order to disguise yourself for the purpose violating these terms of service, avoiding/evading bans, or otherwise disrupting this network.
• Make available, any content that violate any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.
• Make available, any unsolicited or unauthorized advertisement, not approved by Thardferr.Com
• Upload, submit, or otherwise make available, any material that may break our network or the layout of our web pages.
• "Stalk" or otherwise harass another user of this network.
• Collect or store personal data about other users.
• Bypass our content filtering systems in order to make available, content that is against this policy.
• All information submitted during registration must be accurate and complete.

Public Message Boards

The following rules and guidelines pertain to the public message forum boards. These forums are moderated by members of this network, and reviewed by other members.

• Only members of this network are allowed to post to these forums, unless otherwise stated in the board rules for that forum board.
• Since the content on this system is moderated, members may not post on these forums in any language other then English.
• 1337 ("leet") speak is allowed as long as it is easy for moderators and other users to read and understand.
• You may not post links to third party websites or resources, where the web site as a whole, contains crude, derogatory, hateful, sexual, or other objectionable material.
• Members may not post any content, that is graphic or crude
• Members may not advertise other online games, or other products without approval from Thardferr.Com.
• Members may only post the following "in game" information on the forums:
  • Hall of fame information
  • Province information from the province page
  • Spell news items for non-offensive spells such as grow crop and blessing
  • Aid news items
  • Battle reports only if the kingdom and province are missing or "X" out
  • Offensive spells only if the kingdom and province are missing or "X" out
• Members may not post private in game information including, but not limited to:
  • Province forum posts
  • Battle or spell reports except as allowed above
  • Kingdom messages
• Requests for bounties may be requested, but you may not post identifying kingdom information about the target kingdom.
• In addition to these rules, each board can have its own specific rules regarding the topics and content allowed. At no time can those rules supercede these rules unless specifically stated in this policy.
• Administrators have the right to enact and enforce new rules at any time.

IRC (Online Chat)

The following rules and guidelines pertain to the official Thardferr IRC chat rooms. The official Thardferr IRC chat rooms are moderated by members of this network, and reviewed by other members. These rules and guidelines are in addition to the Shadow Wire IRC network rules and policies, which supercede these policies.

• You must obey channel moderators/operators at all times
• Since the content on this system is moderated, members may not chat in any language other then English.
• You may not post links to third party websites or resources, where the web site as a whole, contains crude, derogatory, hateful, sexual, or other objectionable material.
• Members may not post any content, that is graphic or crude
• Members may not advertise other online games, or other products without approval from Thardferr.Com.
• Members may only post the following "in game" information on the channels (chat rooms):
  • Hall of fame information
  • Province information from the province page
  • Spell news items for non-offensive spells such as grow crop and blessing
  • Aid news items
  Members may not post private in game information including, but not limited to:
  • Province forum posts
  • Battle or spell reports
  • Kingdom messages
• Requests for bounties may be requested, but you may not post identifying kingdom information about the target.

• Fighting, crude flames, and other forms of hostility are not allowed in official channels.
• Channel flooding is not allowed
• We ask that flirting and other such actions be kept to a minimum, as it tends to get out of hand
• Notice and greeting scripts are not allowed
• The channels are monitored and logged, and members can be banned for violations even if a moderator/operator was not active or not online at the time.
• Due to the real time nature of IRC, removing users from a channel or banning them from a channel can happen with as little as 1 warning, or no warning at all.
• Administrators have the right to enact and enforce new rules at any time.

Thardferr.Com does not claim ownership of content you submit or make available for inclusion on this network. However, with respect to content you submit or make available for inclusion on public areas of this network, you grant Thardferr.Com and any successor the following world-wide, royalty free, and non-exclusive license(s), as applicable.

With respect to content you submit and make available for inclusion on publicly accessible areas of this network, the perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub licensable license to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform, or publicly display such content (in whole or in part) and to incorporate such content into other works in any format or medium now known or later developed.

Additional and Miscellaneous Information

Thardferr.Com reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove any content, at its sole discretion.

Thardferr.Com reserves the right to remove or deny access to any user without notice at its sole discretion. These policies are subject to change without notice.

Information on public systems is logged and may be used to investigate issues that may arise.

If you feel that a moderator or staff member is abusing his/her authority, you may report them by going to the support area and submitting an abuse report.

This network and all sites, systems, and services are provided as is and without any warranty, expressed or implied, including that of fitness for a particular purpose. Additionally we do not guarantee quality of service. By accessing Thardferr.Com, you agree not to hold its owners, agents, staff, officers, and affiliates responsible for any damages caused by participation on this network or use of this site.
